This collaboration is part of a wireless innovation funding initiative recently announced by the Biden-Harris Administration through the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).

Mobicom, established in 1996 as Mongolia's first mobile service provider, has grown to serve over 1.7 million customers, offering a comprehensive range of services including mobile communication, international communication, high-speed internet, electronic payment solutions, satellite communication, network infrastructure, data centers, and digital content.
The project is funded by the Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund, which aims to promote wireless innovation, foster competition, and enhance supply chain resilience. This initiative underscores the importance of developing Open RAN technologies to ensure a secure, efficient, and modernized wireless infrastructure in the United States.
